Accordingly the following orders are issued: -
i) The cash equivalent of leave salary, payable
to the family of a Government servant who dies in harness, under sub-para (ii)
of Para 2 of the order read above, shall not be reduced by pension and pension
equivalent of other retirement benefits. The cash equivalent of leave salary in
such cases shall be paid in full, subject to a maximum leave salary for 120
days. The other conditions in sub-para (ii) of para 2 of the order read above
shall remain intact.
(ii) Government
servants shall be allowed to encash earned leave/privilege leave, at their
credit on the date of superannuation subject to a maximum of 120 days by the
authority competent to sanction pension, leave salary for this period will not
be reduced by pension and pension equivalent of other retirement benefits,
which will be admissible on normal date of superannuation.
