The Andhra Pradesh Draughtsmen and Tracers' Association have been representing for upgradation of posts of Draughtsmen Grade-II in the Engineering Divisions to that of Draughtsmen Grade-I in view of the meagre Promotional. opportunities. The High-Power Committee in the reference second read above recommended for restructuring of the Draughtsman posts in such a manner that a Draughtsman Grade-III will reach the post of Special Grade Draughtsman before pe retires and Government may consider the upgradation of certain posts if necessary to provide promotional avenues.
2. Government have examined and agreed to the above recommendations. Accordingly, Government have decided to upgrade the existing post of Draughtsman Grade-II in the Divisional Offices of the Engineering Departments to that of Draughtsman Grade-I and one post of Draughtsman Grade-III in each division be upgraded to that of Draughtsman Grade-II. Government therefore hereby order that the posts or Draughtsman Grade-II carrying the pay scale of Rs.2315-4880 he upgraded to that or a Draughtsman Grade-I carrying the pay scale of Rs.2600-5580 and one post of Draughtsman Grade-III Carrying the pay scale of Rs.1975-40 to be upgraded to that or Draughtsman Grade-II carrying the pay scale of Rs.2315-4880 in the Divisions of all Engineering Departments. However, the slots in cycle for promotion from Special Grade Draughtsman/Draughtsman Grade-I to the category of Deputy executive Engineer will not be changed.
3. The pay fixation on the above upgradation will be under FR-22(a)(i) read with FR 31(2).
4. These orders are applicable to all Engineering Departments Viz., Irrigation and Command Area Development, Roads and Buildings, Public Health and Municipal Engineering and Panchayati Raj Engineering.
5. These orders will come into force with immediate effect.
