Services - Revised pay Scales of 1986 - Automatic Advancement Scheme - Fixation
of pay of certain categories of employees already placed in the Automatic Advancement
Scheme before 1st July, 1986 - Orders - Issued.

In the order first read above, instructions were issued in regard to the Automatic Advancement Scheme for employees, who complete 10 or 15 years’ service in a scale without getting promotion to a higher post.
2. The pay Revision Commissioner, 1986 has recommended, among other things, the continuance of this scheme with certain improvements. Detailed instructions on the basis of the recommendations are separately being issued.
3. In the meanwhile, to avoid hardship to low paid employees Government after careful consideration hereby issue the following instructions:
(a)
These instructions apply to the employees who were in the pre-revised scales of
Rs.209-325 to RS.350-550 (i.e. Grade-I to IV).
(b)
These instructions apply only to those belonging to the categories mentioned in
item (a) above, who were already placed either in the Special, Grade or Special
Adhoc promotion post before 1st July, 1986 and their pay was fixed in
accordance with the orders governing this Scheme.
(c)
The Special Grade Scales and Special Adhoc promotion Scales in the Revised pay
Scales of 1986, shall be as indicated below in respect of the enumerated
categories: -

Those who are not qualified to hold the post of Junior Assistant Those
who are qualified to hold the post of Junior Assistant and completed 15 years
in the basic scale

(d) The instructions already issued in regard to this scheme shall continue to apply.
4. All the Administrative Departments / Audit authorities are requested to implement these orders as early as possible.
