ORDER
The A.P. Accounts Branches Non-Gazetted Employees Association has represented for change of nomenclature of the post of Superintendent in the RC. Branch I of T&A Department as Junior Accounts Officer and confer gazetted status on par with Sub-Treasury Officer of RC. Branch II of T&A Department which had been declared as gazetted in the scale of pay of Rs. 2600-5580, vide reference 2nd read above on the grounds that:
1.
The post of Senior Accountant of both the branches of T &A Subordinate
service are feeder categories to the post of Superintendents and S.T.Os
respectively.
2.
The Senior Accountants of both the branches are required to pass the T.A.S.
Examination for promotion to the post of Superintendents / ST.Os.
3.
Both the posts of Superintendent and STO are feeder categories for promotion to
the post of Assistant Accounts Officer/Assistant Treasury Officer.
4. The scale of pay of Superintendents and S.T.Os. is one and the same.
2. In the reference 3rd read above, the Director of Treasuries & Accounts, A.P., Hyderabad has also recommended for considering the above request of the Association.
3. The Government, after careful consideration of the facts submitted by the A.P. Accounts Branch Non-Gazetted Employees Association and in view of the recommendation or the Director of Treasuries & Accounts, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad hereby change the nomenclature of the post of Superintendents in RC. Branch I of T&A Department (i.e., the post of Superintendent in the Office of the director of Treasuries & Accounts and in the Accounts Branches of various Heads of Departments), in the scale of pay of Rs. 2600-5580, as Junior Accounts Officer and confer the Gazetted status on par with S.T.Os in the RC Branch II of T&A Department with immediate effect.
