Amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Service Rules, 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Service Rules, issued in G.O. Ms. No. 445, General Administration (Ser.B) Department, dated the 29^th October, 1998.

The amendment shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 23^rd October, 2000.

AMENDMENT

In the said Rules, in the Annexure to Rule 5, under Class-B, Category -"6" against Section Officer (Strictly Confidential) in the column (3), for the existing qualifications, the following shall be substituted namely:

"(i) Must possess a Bachelor's Degree of a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provincial Act or a State Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or an equivalent qualification.

 

(ii) Must have a minimum experience of 2 (two) years in the category of Section Officer (Single Unit) or 5 (five) years in the Category of Assistant Section Officer (Strictly Confidential)

 

Note: A written examination shall be conducted for the Section Officers in Single Unit for being considered for appointment to the posts of Section Officers (Strictly Confidential) and the mode of examination shall be as decided by the Appointing Authority from time to time.
