Sub: Public Service - Subordinate Service - Andhra Pradesh Ministerial Service - Prescription of a pass in Intermediate Examination for purpose of appointment - Clarification of certain points - Regarding.

 

Ref: Your representation dated 10-4-1997.

I am directed to invite attention to the reference cited and to clarify the points raised therein as below: -

2.     Rule 3 (14) (a) as amended in G.O.Ms.No.684, G.A. (Ser.B) Department,dated 31-10-1980 specifically provide for recruitment by transfer of Record Assistants and members of Andhra Pradesh Last Grade Service to the posts of Junior Assistants in the offices of Heads of Departments and Directorates and the cut-off date is 31-10-1980.

3.     Rule 3 (14) (b) as amended in G.O.Ms.No.517, Genl. Admn.(Ser.B) Department, dated 29-10-1987 provide for recruitment by transfer to the posts mentioned above in the offices other than Heads of Departments and Directorates and their cut-off date is 29-10-1987.

4.   The incumbents appointed prior to the cut off dates mentioned above should possess the minimum General Educational qualification as on that date and they can acquire five years regular service either before or after the cut off dates.

5.     I am also to inform that the proviso under Rule 22 of Andhra Pradesh Ministerial Service as amended in G.O.Ms.No.517, General Administration(Service.B) Department, dated 29-10-1987 is applicable to the persons holding posts in Andhra Pradesh Ministerial Service prior to the dates mentioned therein and not to the persons appointed against posts of Attenders, Record Assistants etc., which posts are governed by Andhra Pradesh Last Grade Service Rules and Andhra Pradesh General Subordinate Service Rules.
