The attention of the District Collectors is invited to the references cited. Instructions have been issued in the reference second cited, that the meeting of District Level Committee of Officers for retirement of Government Employees on Medical Invalidation and for Compassionate Appointment to the dependents, shall be held atleast once in a month to consider the cases. It has come to the notice of Government, that this time schedule is not being followed. According to the orders issued in G.O. Ms. No.309, G.A. (Ser. A) Department, dt. 04-07-1985, the employee permitted to retire from service on Medical Invalidation shat 1 five years of left-over service for retirement on the date of such invalidation retirement irrespective of the dates of superannuation, to consider Compassionate Appointment to the dependent. In view of the delay in convening the meetings of the District Level Committee of Officers the Committees could not recommend Compassionate Appointment to the dependents of Government Employees, due to short fall in left over service of (5) years even on the date of meeting of the Committees.

2. The instructions issued in the Memo. Second cited ·are therefore reiterated and District Collectors are requested to ensure that the meeting of the District level Committee of Officers constituted in the G.O. 1st cited shall be held atleast once in a month to consider Medical Invalidation cases.

3. The receipt of the Memo. Should be acknowledged.
