ORDER:
In
the reference 3rd read above, orders have been issued that the
maternity leave sanctioned as per the orders issued in the reference 2nd
read above, shall be treated as duty for the purpose of counting the probation
period and for declaration of probation. Government also order that other kinds
of leave combined with the maternity leave shall not be treated as duty for the
purpose of probation as per the existing rules and also stated that necessary
amendments to A.P. State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, and A.PFundamental Rules & A.P Leave Rules shall be issued immediately by the
General Administration Department and Finance Department.
2. Accordingly, the following
notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh e- Gazette:
NOTIFICATION
In
exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of Constitution of
India and of all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh
hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh State and
Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 issued in G.O.Ms.No.436, General Administration
(Services-D) Department, dated the 15th October, 1996 as
subsequently amended from time to time:
AMENDMENT
In the Andhra Pradesh
State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, -
1. After item (a) of sub-rule (14)
of Rule 2 the following shall be inserted namely; -
(a a) In the case of Married Women Government
Employee, when she is on maternity leave during her period of probation;
2. After item (iii) of Rule 16 (c)
the following proviso shall be added namely; -
“Provided that maternity leave sanctioned to
Married Women Government Employee shall be treated as duty for the purpose of counting
the probation period and for declaration of probation”.
