Read the following:
In the G.O. read above, Notification was issued empowering the Chairman, Commissionerate of Inquiries to authorise the Inquiring Authorities to exercise the powers specified in Section 5 of the Andhra Pradesh Departmental Inquiries (Enforcement of Attendance of Witnesses and Production of Documents) Act., 1993, in respect of Departmental Inquiries entrusted by the Government.
2. The Members of Commissionerate of inquiries while explaining their problems which are facing by them have requested to empower the Members, Commissionerate of Inquiries under Section 5 of the said Act so as to enable them to summon the documents, witnesses and compel and enforce their attendance and compliance so as to complete the enquires entrusted to them from time to time, as early as possible.
3. The Government after careful consideration have decided to authorise the Members, Commissionerate of Inquiries appointed as Inquiring Authority to exercise the powers specified in Section 5 of the said Act, in respect of Departmental Inquiries entrusted by the Government.
4. The following Notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette:
