ORDER:
In the G.Os read above orders were issued to raise
the upper age limit for direct recruitment to 33 years in A.P. State and
Subordinate Service Rules. It is represented by unemployees to allow age
concession for recruitment to various services, as the age limits prescribed
are below 33 years in certain services.
2. After careful consideration, keeping in view the policy of
the Government, it is decided to raise uniformly the upper age limit to 33
years for direct recruitment to various categories of posts to which the upper
age limit is below 33 years in the special service rules governing the post,
except in the case of recruitment to "Uniform Service" namely Police
Department, Fire Services, Forest Service and Excise Department.
3. Accordingly, the following notification will be published in
the A.P. Gazette.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso
to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh
hereby makes the following adhoc rule.
ADHOC RULE
Notwithstanding anything contained in the special
rules or adhoc rules, the upper age limit for direct recruitment to any
category of post in State or in Subordinate Service is raised to 33 years,
except in the case of recruitment to "Uniform Service" namely Police
Department, Fire Service, Forest Service and Excise Department, where such age
limit is below 33 years. If any special rule provides a higher upper age limit
than 33 years, such higher age limit shall be continued.
4. The Departments of Secretariat will issue suitable amendments
to special service rules or adhoc rules governing the posts for which direct
recruitment is one of the methods of appointment.
5. The above adhoc rule is applicable to the Notification
No.21/2003 issued by the A.P. Public Service Commission for Group.I Services
Direct (Limited and General) Recruitment, 2003, on 21.11.2003.
