ORDER:

Upliftment of the disadvantaged persons of the Society and providing equal opportunities to all, is the policy of the Government. To achieve this objective, the Government are providing age concession in Direct Recruitment to Public Service in favour of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The upper age limit is raised by five (5) years to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes category from time to time. The age concession was last extended up to 31.05.2011 vide G.O. 3rd read above.

2. The need for adequate representation in Public Service for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is further reviewed and after careful consideration, Government have decided to allow the age concession five (5) years in favour of the Scheduled Cates and Scheduled Tribes Candidates for a further period of (5) years beyond 31.05.2011.

3. Accordingly, Government direct that the upper age concession of five (5) years shall be allowed, beyond 31.05.2011, up to 31.05.2016, in favour of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in Direct Recruitment, over and above, the age limit prescribed in the A.P. State Subordinate Service Rules/Special Rules subject to the condition that the maximum upper age limit in favour of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall in no case exceed forty five (45) years.

4. The above concession shall be in force till the end of May 2016.

5. Necessary amendments to the A.P. State and Subordinate Service Rules will be issued by the General Administration (Ser.) Department.
