ORDER:
According to sub clause (i) of clause (b) of Rule 12of the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules issued in the G.O. second read above, among others, the maximum age limit prescribed in the Special Rules for Direct Recruitment to a post shall be raised uniformly by 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. According to the proviso under the above clause, in the case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the maximum age limit prescribed to other communities in the Special Rules shall be raised uniformly by 10 years for the purpose of Limited Direct Recruitment subject to the (:Ondition that it does not exceed 45 years. Further according to clause (ii) of the aforesaid sub-rule, the maximum age limit prescribed in the special rules for direct recruitment to a post shall be raised uniformly by 10 years in the case of Physically Handicapped persons. The above concession of age in respect of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Physically Handicapped persons ceased to exist from 22nd September 2000.

Orders have been issued in the G.Os third and fourth read above, extending the age concession for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Physically Handicapped for a further period till the end of May, 2001 and it has been decided therein to issue necessary amendments to the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 Separately.

To give effect to the above decision the following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 issued in G.O. Ms. No. 436, G.A. (Ser. D) Department dated the 15th October, 1996 and published in Part-I Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated the 27th January, 1997.

2. The amendments hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 23rd September, 2000.

AMENDMENTS

In the said Rules, in Rule 12, in sub-rule (I), in clause (b):

(i) In sub clause (i), after third proviso, the following shall be inserted namely:

"N.B: This concession shall be in force during the period between the 28th March 1967 to till the end of May, 2001.

" (ii) in sub clause (ii) for N.B, the following shall be substituted, namely:

"N.B: This concession shall be in force during the period between the 28th March 1967 to till the end of May, 2001."
