ORDER:
In the G.O. 2nd read above, orders were issued revising qualifications prescribed for the post of Assistant Section Officer (Strictly Confidential) and it was ordered there in that, necessary amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Subordinate Service Rules 1997, will be issued separately.

Therefore, the Government have decided to issue necessary amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Subordinate Service Rules, 1997, suitably.

The following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of powers conferred, by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Subordinate Service Rules, 1997 issued in G.O. Ms. No. 455, General Administration (Ser.B) Department, dated the 31st October, 1997.

The amendment shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 23rd October, 2000.

AMENDMENT

In the said Rules, in the Annexure to Rule 9 under Class-A (Post in Strictly Confidential Wing) against category-I Assistant Section Officer (Strictly Confidential) in Column (3), for the existing qualifications, the following shall be substituted namely:

(i) "Must possess a Bachelor's Degree from any University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provincial Act or a State Act or an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or an equivalent qualification.

 

(ii) Typewriting qualification in English atleast by Lower Grade. If one does not possess Typewriting qualification at the time of appointment, he or she shall acquire the said qualification during the period of probation.

 

(iii) Must have a minimum of three years’ experience in the category of Assistant Section Officers (Category-4) of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Subordinate Services Rules, 1997 of the Departments of Secretariat constituting Single Unit.


NOTE: "A written examination shall be conducted for the Assistant Section Officers in Single Unit for being considered for appointment to the posts of Assistant Section Officer (Strictly Confidential) and the mode of examination shall as decided by the Appointing Authority, from time to time"
