- Sanction of leave on 11.12.98 - Regularisation of period - clarification -

The
attention of Department of Secretariat, Heads of Departments/ District
Collectors and other subordinate officers is invited to the references cited wherein
the Govt. directed that the appropriate authorities shall sanction leave to
which the employees are eligible and to those who do not have leave they shall
be given Extra Ordinary Leave for which no pay will be given, and this applies
to those employees who had participated in the one day strike on 11-12-1998.
The
A.P.N.G.Os Association in their representation dated 9-2-1999 has stated that
the District Treasury Officers are not admitting the Pay Bills in which the
Casual Leave was shown against 11-12-1998. Therefore, the A.P.N.G.Os
Association has requested the Government to clarify as to whether the leave
including Casual Leave shall be sanctioned to those of the Govt. employees who
have participated in one day strike on 11-12- 1998.
The
Heads of Departments / District Collectors and other subordinate officers arc
informed that the intention of the Government is that the leave to which the
employees are eligible means and includes the Casual Leave provided the
employee has Casual Leave at his credit.
In
view of the above clarification, the appropriate authorities shall sanction
leave based on the leave eligibility of the employees.
