ORDER:
In
the order read above, it was ordered among other things, that Government
servants shall be allowed to encash earned leave/privilege leave, at their
credit on the date of superannuation, subject to a maximum of 120 days by the
authority competent to sanction pension. It was also ordered that leave salary
for this period will not be reduced by pension and pension equivalent of other
retirement benefits which will be admissible on the normal date of retirement.
The benefit of encashment of leave is, thus, confined the cases or retirement
on superannuation pension.
2. Government have
carefully considered the question of extending the same benefits in other cases
of retirement. It has been decided that the benefit of encashment of leave as
contemplated in clause (ii) of para 2 of the order 2nd read above,
shall also be extended to the following cases of retirement subject to the
conditions as in clause (iii) of para 2 of the order referred to:
(a) Those retiring
under the Premature Retirement Rules issued through G.O.Ms.No.188, Finance
& Planning (Fin. Wing Pen. I) Department, dt. 29-7-1975 and G.O. Ms. No.
198, Finance and Planning (Fin. Wing-Pen. I) Department dated 4-8-1975.
(b) Those retiring
on invalid pension,
(c) Those retiring
on Compensation Pension,
(d) Those
compulsorily retired as a measure of punishment under the Andhra Pradesh Civil
Services (C. C. A) Rules.
3. These orders
shall take effect from 1-7-1975.
