ORDER:

According to the orders issued in G.O. 1^st  read above, the maximum age limit prescribed in the Andhra Pradesh State & Subordinate Services Rules for appointment by direct recruitment to the posts in the State and Subordinate Services (including the posts in the Last Grade Service) Under the State Government to be made by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission or other competent authorities or bodies, shall be raised by six years for the purpose of direct recruitment that would be notified on or after 1^st July, 1988.

2. The Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has now informed in his letter 2^nd read above, that the bulk recruitment like Group-I, Group-II.A, Group-II.B, Group-III, Group-IV Services are annual features according to the programme of selections envisaged in G.O.Ms.No.103, General Administration (Ser.A) Department, dated 3-2-1967, but the Commission could not conduct the regular recruitment as per the programme of selection due to several unavoidable administrative reasons including Court litigations. The notification for the posts under Group-IV Services which are within the purview of the said Commission was issued in the year 1989 vide Advertisement No.1/89, dated 1-1-1989 and it could issue the next notification in the year 1995 only vide advertisement No.4/95. Consequently, several candidates lost the opportunity to compete, as they have become age barred. In order to mitigate the hardship caused to the unemployed youth, the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission had decided to relax the age corresponding to the number of years for which the recruitments were not conducted and accordingly, the said Commission in anticipation of the government orders, issued Advertisement No.4/95, calling for the applications from the candidates, who are within the age as on 01-07-1990 for Group-IV Services, 1995. The Secretary, Andhra Pradesh public Service Commission has therefore, requested the Government to issue orders, making the candidates eligible who are within the age as on 1-7-1990 to apply for Group-IV Services recruitment, l995 notified by the Commission vide Advertisement No.4/95.

3. The government after careful examination or the proposal of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service commission. have decided to accept the said proposal as a onetime measure.

4. The following notification will he published in Andhra Pradesh Gazette:

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor or Andhra Pradesh hereby make the following Ad-hoc Rules:-

AD-HOC RULE

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Services Rules, or in the Special Rules, for any State Services or th1.: Ad-hoc Rules. the maximum age limit prescribed in the relevant Special Rules for appointment by direct recruitment shall be raised to 39 years (i.e.) from 34 year to 39 years) including age concession of six years allowed in the adhoc rule issued in G.O.Ms.No.570, General Administration (Ser.A) Department, dt.28-10-1993, in respect of direct recruitment relating to the Group-IV Services recruitment, 995 notified by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Vide Advertisement No 4/95 and that the candidates who are within the age limit of 34 years as on 1-7-1990 shall also be eligible to apply and participate in the competitive examination to be conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission for the purpose of direct recruitment to Group-IV Services recruitment, 1995.
