The
following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.

In
exercise of the powers conferred by the Proviso to article 309 of the
Constitution of India and of all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor
of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh
Civil Service (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991 issued in
G.O.Ms.No.487, General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated the 14th
September, 1992 and published in Part-I, No.235, Extraordinary issue of the
Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated the 1st July, 1992 as subsequently amended from time
to time.
AMENDMENT
In
the said rules, in rule 20, in sub-rule(l3) for the first and second provisos the
following shall be substituted, namely:
"Provided
that if the authority having the custody or possession of the requisitioned
documents is satisfied for reasons to be recorded by it in writing that the
production of all or any of such documents would be against the public interest
of security of the State, shall submit the fact to the Head of Department, or
to the Secretary of the Department concerned for a decision in the matter. Such
decision shall be informed to the inquiring authority, and the inquiring
authority shall on being so informed, communicate the information to the
Government servant and withdraw the requisition made by it for the production
or discovery of such documents."
