ORDER:

According to the first proviso to sub clause (i) of clause (b) of sub-rule (I) of Rule 12 of the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 issued in the G.O. second read above, the age concession uniformly by five years among others in the case of candidates belonging to the Backward Classes specified in Schedule-I of the said Rules including the percentage of reservation of posts, age concession for the purpose of recruitment etc., ceased to exist from 23rd September, 2000.

2. Orders have been issued in the G.O. third read above, extending the period of reservations in services including percentage of reservations of posts, age concession of five years for the purpose of recruitment etc., in favour of Backward Classes for a further period till the end of May, 2001.

3. Necessary amendments to the Special Rules for which the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules do not apply will be issued by the concerned Departments of Secretariat.

4. The following Notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette. 

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, issued in G.O. Ms. No. 436, General Administration (Services. D) Department dated 15-10-1996 and published in Andhra Pradesh Gazette Part-I Extra Ordinary No. 34 dated the 27^th January 1997.

5. The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 23^rd September, 2000.

AMENDMENT

In the said Rules:

In the N.B to sub-clause (i) of clause B of sub-rule l of rule 12 for the expression "for 10 years from 23^rd September, 1990" the expression "with effect from 23^rd September 1990 to till the end of May 2001" shall be substituted.
