ORDER:

According to the orders issued in Government Orders 2nd and 3rd read above, a government employee proceeding on half pay leave is entitled to leave salary to half of pay drawn immediately before proceeding on such half pay leave and Dearness Allowance corresponding to such half pay. In the Government Order 4th read above, orders have been issued revising the rates of House Rent Allowance as recommended by the Pay Revision Commissioner, 1993 by suitably amending the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (House Rent Allowance) Rules, 1988.

2. While amending rule 3 of the said rules, the orders issued in the Government Orders second and third read above were not taken into account and the said amendment is contrary to the orders issued in the said Government Orders. Therefore, it has been decided to amend the said rule suitably.

 

3. The following Notification shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette:

 

NOTIFICATION

In Exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following · amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (House Rent Allowance) Rules, 1988. The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 1^st January, 1993 with monetary benefit from the 1st April, 1993.

AMENDMENT

For sub-rule (2) of rule (3) of the said rules, the following shall be substituted namely:

"(2) In respect of those who arc on leave on full average pay or half average pay the allowance shall be calculated on the basis of pay drawn immediately before proceeding on such leave subject to F.R. 44."
