Rule3. Reservation of Appointments:
Rule 4. Age Qualifications:
Provided ex-Defence personnel duly qualified shall be eligible for appointment if he has not completed 40 years of age and be given preference other things being equal.
The age limit prescribed in this rule shall be reckoned with reference to the first day of July of the year in which the selection is made.
Rule 5. Other qualifications:
In the event of suitable candidates with the required practical experience or training - for appointment to the posts in
category 7 not becoming available, a person without the practical
experience or training can be recruited
direct or by transfer to
the post of Assistant
Agricultural Engineer, as the case may be. The candidate
thus selected and appointed
shall be given such
training as may be prescribed by
the Government. During the
period of training, the candidates
recruited direct on or after
1st January, 1976 shall be paid the initial pay
of the post for which he is a trainee
with usual allowances admissible at the place
of training, and the candidates recruited by transfer shall be
paid either at the rate applicable to
the direct recruits or the
pay Last drawn by them
prior to their selection and appointment whichever is advantageous.
He shall be allowed to
count the period of his training
as duty for all proposes like
probation, pension, leave, increment, etc., subject to
the restriction that he shall
not be eligible for the first increment
until he completes the said training

(b) No person shalt be eligible for appointment by transfer to any category other than category-7 unless he has passed the Account test for Executive Officers - Sub. by G.O.Ms.No.960, F&A., Dept., Dt.27-6-1972.
Rule 6. Test and Training:
(a)
In the posts coming under Category 7—
Provided that in the case of persons allotted from the Telangana area, they should pass the said tests within a period of two years from the date of appointment to the category.
[(b) In other posts for direct recruits only—
(1) Account Test for Executive Officers;
(2)
Departmental Test.
(i) A person recruited
direct to the post of Assistant
Director of Agriculture during the period from 25th June, 1975
to 31st December, 1975,
shall within the prescribed period of probation undergo
practical training for
a period of six months. During this period, he shall
be paid the minimum oldie scale of pay of Assistant
Agricultural Officers plus the Dearness
Allowance admissible under the rules. He shall
not be entitled to count this period for increments
in the time scale of pay.
(ii) A person recruited to the post of Assistant Director of Agriculture on or after 1st January, 1976 shall within the prescribed period of probation undergo practical training for a period of six months. During this period of training, he shall be paid the initial pay of the post for which he is a trainee with usual allowances admissible at the place of training. He shall be allowed to count the period of his training as duty for all purposes like probation, pension, leave and increments, subject to the restriction that he shall not eligible for the first increment until he completes the training - G.O.Ms.No. 656, F & A, Dt. 15-11-1978.
Rule 7. Probation:
Provided that in the case of a person who is already appointed to a post in a category in the service and is a probationer or an approved probationer or a full member in that post or Category, no separate probation is necessary on his appointment to another post in the same or any other category of the same grade;
Provided further that a probationer in a post in a category appointed to another post in the same or another category of the same grade, shall be eligible to count towards his probation the period of duty performed by him in the latter post or category if during such period he would have held the post in the former category or post but for the appointment to the latter category or post.

year. Note: Agricultural Engineering Graduates will be preferred to Civil
Engineering Graduates and Engineering Graduates will be selected only when
Agricultural Engineering Graduates are not available.
