Note: 66.2/3 of the number of substantive vacancies in the category of Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer and Placement Officer shall be filled by the direct recruitment and the remaining by transfer of Office Superintendents in the Andhra Pradesh Ministerial Services in the Sainik Welfare Department - Subs. by G.O.Ms.No. 727, dt. 19-10-2002.
Rule 4.
Qualification: -
(a) The post of
Director and Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer including Placement Officer to be
filled up by direct recruitment shall be exclusively filled by Ex-servicemen
from the Army, Navy and Air-Force.
(b) No
Ex-servicemen who retired below the rank of Colonel or equivalent rank in the
Army, Navy or Air Force shall be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment
as Director.
(c) No
Ex-servicemen who retired below the rank of Captain or equivalent rank in the
Army, Navy and Air Force shall be eligible for appointment by direct
recruitment as Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer and Placement Officer.
(d) No person for appointment to the post of Director, Assistant Director, Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer either by direct recruitment or by promotion shall be eligible unless he possesses the minimum general educational qualification prescribed in the Schedule to the General Rules or equivalent qualification of Indian Army, Navy or Air Force.
Rule 5.
Age: -
No person who has completed 52 years of age on the first day of July of the year in which the notification for selection is made, shall be eligible for direct recruitment to the post of Director or Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer and Placement Officer.
Rule 6.
Minimum Service: -
No person shall be eligible for appointment by transfer/promotion unless he has put in not less than three years of service in the category from which appointment by transfer/promotion is made.
Rule 7.
Probation: -
(a) Every person
appointed by direct recruitment to a post shall, from the date on which he
joins duty, be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a
continuous period of three years.
(b) Every person appointed to a post by transfer/promotion shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years.
