In the G.O. third read above, orders have been issued permitting the District Selection Committees to go ahead with the process of recruitment to the posts in Group-IV Services in the Districts, confining the recruitment to the backlog vacancies in respect of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and carried forward vacancies of physically Handicapped persons, duly communicating the procedure and the scheme to be followed by the District Selection Committees for recruitment.
2. In the G.O. fourth read above, Orders have been issued among others, authorising the Commissioner of Land Revenue, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad to conduct the examinations for recruitment to the posts in Group-IV Services through District Selection Committees. The District Collectors were requested to ensure that the guidelines and instructions regarding absorption of surplus staff and also absorption of Village Assistants in other Departments rendered surplus are followed scrupulously, while filling up the vacancies. It has also been instructed to make recruitment to only such of the categories / vacancies where there is absolute and justified need.
3. In the G.O. fifth read above, while communicating the model draft notification and steps to be followed for conduct of examination by District Collectors, the Commissioner of Land Revenue was requested among other things to finalise a dated programme for the conduct of examination to the posts in Group-IV Services through District Selection Committees in consultation with the District Collectors.
4. The Joint Action Committee of Employees, Teachers and Workers have represented to the High power Committee that steps may be taken to fill up all the vacancies of Junior Assistants, Typists, Class-IV etc., The High Power Committee after careful examination of the issue have recommended to take steps to activise the District Selection Committees for recruitment and filling up of vacancies of various categories by clearing the procedure to be followed by the District Selection Committees.
