ORDER:
In the reference 4th read above, Government have constituted a Group of Ministers to suggest the methodology to be adopted for recruitment of Village Revenue Assistants. Accordingly, in the reference 5th read above, the Group of Ministers (GOM) has recommended to raise the minimum educational qualification for appointment to the post of Village Revenue Assistants from a pass in 7th class to a pass in SSC examination (10th class) keeping in view the requirements of the present duties being discharged by them. The Group of Ministers has also suggested to provide reservation for women candidates in the appointment to the post of Village Revenue Assistants.
2. The Government, after careful examination, hereby accept the recommendations of the Group of Ministers and accordingly, issue the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Village Revenue Assistants service Rules, 2005. The following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated: 15.11.2011.
NOTIFICATION
(1) in rule 9
(i) in sub-rule (2), in clause (ii) in sub clause (g), for the wor9-s "7th standard" the words "Secondary School Certificate (10th Class) Examination" shall be substituted.
(ii) For sub-rule (5), the following shall be substituted, namely, :-
“The Rule of Special Representation (Rule-22 of the General Rules of the Andhra Pradesh State and Sub-ordinate Service Rules) shall apply to appointments to the category of Village Revenue Assistants in each Mandal”
Note: -For-this purpose the names of Villages in a Mandal, in which vacancies are to be filled up, shall be arranged in the order of “English alphabets with the first Village in the said list representing the starting roster point for the concerned recruitment.”
