O R D E R

 
1.  Section 5 of the Andhra Pradesh Departmental Inquiries (Enforcement of Attendance of Witnesses and Production or Documents) Act, 1993 empowers the authorised Inquiring Authority to summon and enforce the attendance of any witness and examine on oath.

2.  The payment of Travelling Allowance and Daily Allowance shall be at the rates admissible lo the post held by the Government Servant whenever he/she is summoned as Official Witness. In respect of retired Government Servants, the rates are as admissible to the post held immediately before their retirement.

3.  In regard to non-Official witnesses, the payment of Travelling Allowance shall be paid as follows

 

(i)     Actual mode of travel or first-class Train fare whichever is less for first class non-official witnesses;

 

(ii)  Second Class train fare / actual bus fare for second class nonofficial witnesses.

4.  The payment or Daily Allowance lo the non-official witnesses shall be as follows:

(i)      Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty-Five only) and Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty only) for first and second class non-Official witnesses attending before the Inquiring Authorities respectively in Hyderabad, Sec-bad & Visakhapatnam.

 

(ii)     Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty only) and Rs. 15/- (Rupees Fifteen only) for the first and second class non-official witnesses attending before the Inquiring Authority in the District Head Quarters, respectively.

 

(iii)    Rs. 15/- (Rupees fifteen only) and Rs. 10/- (Rupees ten only) for the first and second class non-official witnesses attending before the Inquiring Authority in the other Mandal Headquarters, respectively.

5.  The above rates will come into force with immediate effect.

6.  This order issues with the concurrence of Finance & Planning (FW) Department vide their U.O.No. 6565/63/A2/TA/96, dated 8-3-1996.
