          Read the following: -

1. G.O.Ms.No.23, Backward Classes Welfare (P2) Dept., dated 18-3-1996.

2. From the Executive Director (Personnel) the Singareni Colleries Company Limited, Kothagudem Letter No.P/(Rc)/826, dated 28-9-1996.

ORDER:

In the G.O.1^st read above, orders were issued introducing the 'Carry Forward' principle in favour of Backward Classes in respect of reservations in Government jobs, on par with Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes.

2. In the reference 2^nd read above, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited has sought for a clarification, as to whether the 'Carry Forward' Principle in respect of reservations of jobs for Backward Classes in Government, is applicable to Companies / Corporations etc., as the G.O. does not mention its applicability in respect of jobs in Government Undertakings.

3. Government after careful examination of the above have decided to extend the principle of 'Carry Forward' in reservation of jobs for Backward Classes ordered in G.O. 1^st read above to the State Public Sector Undertakings / Corporations etc.

4. The G.O. is deemed to have come into effect with effect from 18-3-1996 i.e., the date of issue of G.O. 1^st read above.
