ORDER
The bulk recruitment like Group.I, Group.II-A etc. conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission are the annual features in pursuance of orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.103, General Administration (Ser.A) Department dated 3-2-1967. But recruitments could not be conducted regularly every year as per the scheme evolved in the aforesaid G.O. due to various administrative reasons and Court-litigations. For the reason the aspiring candidates are missing the opportunities, having examined the same and to mitigate the hardship caused due to the unemployed youth and to provide them an opportunity to compete in the examinations, the Government issued orders earlier in G.Os 1st, 3rd and 4th read above extending age relaxation for the candidates who have crossed the prescribed age limit on the date of respective notifications issued by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission.
2. The Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has now informed in his letter 5th read above that the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has issued notification to recruitment of Group.1 Services in the year 1995, and there was no recruitment during the past two years i.e., 1996 and 1997 and now a notification for Group. I Services 1998 recruitment was issued on 25-06-1998 vide notification No. 5/98, prescribing minimum, and maximum age limits among other things, for various posts falling under this service. The Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has therefore requested to issue orders allowing the candidates who are within the maximum age prescribed for the post in Group.I Services as on 1- 7-1996 to apply for the Group.I Services 1998 by granting age relaxation as was done in similar precedent cases earlier.
3. The Government, after careful examination of the matter, have decided to accept the above proposal of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service commission. This age concession is only to the recruitment of Group.I Services pertaining to the years 1996 and 1997 to be conducted in the year 1998 by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission in pursuance of their notification No. 5/98, dated 25-06-1998.
4. The following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.
