ORDER

In the G.O. 1^st  read above, the Government have issued orders permitting candidates to write all the competitive examinations (Conventional Type) conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission in Urdu Language who intended to take the examinations in Urdu Language from January 1998 and accordingly the Government have directed the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission to conduct all the competitive examinations (Conventional Type) conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission in Urdu Language also, besides Telugu and English from January, 1998 and also to supply the question papers in Urdu Language also besides Telugu and English Languages.

2. The Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission in his letter 2nd read above, has expressed certain practical difficulties in supplying question papers in Urdu Language for the reasons indicated therein and requested the Government to issue orders amending G.O. 1^st read above deleting the provision for supplying question papers in Urdu Language for the examinations (Conventional Type) conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission.

3. The Government after careful examination of the proposal of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, have accepted to delete the provision for supplying of question papers in Urdu Language for the examinations (Conventional Type) conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission provided in the G.O.1^st read above.

4. Accordingly, the following amendment is issued to the G.O.Ms.No.548, General Administration (Ser.A) Department, dated the 13^th December, 1997.

AMENDMENT

In the said G.O., for para (5) the following shall be substituted, namely: -

"(5) Accordingly the Government direct that the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission shall conduct all the competitive examinations (Conventional Type) conducted by the Commission in Urdu Language also, besides Telugu and English from January 1998. However, the question papers will be supplied in English or Telugu version only for Group.I & II (A) examinations and the candidates who intend to take the examination in Urdu shall refer to the questions framed in English or Telugu version only."
