ORDER:

The following notification shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution or India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules. The amendment shall be deemed to have come into force with effect on and from the 2^nd January, 1984.

AMENDMENT

In rule 22-A of Part II of the said Rules:

 (1) To clause (1) thereof the following proviso shall be added namely:

"Provided that such absolute preference to women shall not result in total exclusion of men in any category of posts.”

(2) the proviso under clause (2) shall be omitted.

(3) After clause (2), the following shall be added namely:

 

"(3) In the matter of direct recruitment to posts which are reserved exclusively for being filled by women they shall be filled by women only."
