ORDER:
In theG.O. second read above, an ad-hoc rule was issued making the Regional Authority
where Regional Offices exist as the Appointing Authority for initial Gazetted
categories in the State Service and the Head of the Department as the Appointing
Authority for all the Second Level Gazetted categories in the State service and
also for initial Gazetted categories for which no regional exists.
2. Consequent to this, orders were issued
in the G.O. third read above, laying down the pattern for constituting the
Departmental Promotion Committee for Gazetted posts. including third level.
According to these orders, the Departmental Promotion Committee for third level
Gazetted posts shall be as follows:

3. It has been considered that instead of
nominating a member for each Department to serve on the Departmental Promotion
Committee for third level Gazetted posts a piece against SI.No.3 of para 2
above, it would be convenient to nominate them for a group of Departments so
that the individual Departments can issue the necessary orders constituting
Departmental Promotion Committee for third level. Accordingly, in partial
modification of the orders issued in the G.O. 3rd read above;
Government hereby nominate the following Officers to serve as Member of the
Departmental Promotion Committee for third level in respect of Departments indicated
against their names.

issued above, if necessary.
