ORDER:
The one-man Services
Rules Commission in its report, among other things, has observed that it is
necessary for a person to know where he stands in the seniority list prepared
for a particular category of post with a view to assess his promotional avenues.
In the absence of such list, it is difficult for him to know whether or not his
claim for promotion has been considered in his due tum. Further from the point
of view of the administration, preparation of establishment list is absolutely
necessary. The said commission has, therefore, recommended that all the
Departments should pay attention on priority basis for the preparation,
publication and maintenance of seniority lists up-to-date.
2. The Government after careful
consideration, have accepted the above recommendation and direct all the
appointing authorities should take prompt action for the preparation,
publication and maintenance of seniority lists up-to-date every year, on
priority basis.
