ORDER:
At the State Level Workshop on Good Governance and Performance Indicators held on 16th and 17th May 2002 at the Dr. MCR HRD Institute, attended by Hon'ble Chief Minister, Ministers, Spl. Chief Secretaries / Prl. Secretaries / Secretaries to Government and Heads of Departments, the following recommendations were made in regard to the need for reducing scope for corruption particularly in Departments having large public contact.
 
2.  "In view of the need for Department-wise analysis of procedure to reduce scope for corruption' Committees should be formed in all Departments, consisting of Stakeholders, Management Expert, Representative of Vigilance Department, Employees Representative and Head of Office to analyse activities involving public interface"
3.  Government have accepted the above suggestion and accordingly direct as follows: All Departments, Heads of Departments, Heads of Public Sector Undertakings, Public Utilities, Co-operative Institutions, (Local Bodies), etc. having large interface with the public shall take action to form Committees consisting of Stakeholders, Management Expert, Representative of Vigilance Department, Employees Representative and Head of Office to analyse activities involving public interface. These Committees shall take up in a systematic manner detailed review of the rules, procedure and practices governing those activities which involve public interface with the organization with a view to reducing scope for corruption, simplifying procedures, and spending of sanctions, etc.
4. The Special Chief Secretaries / Principal Secretaries / Secretaries to Government in each Secretariat Department shall get the Committee constituted covering the activities of the Departments / Organizations under their control and send periodic reports on the progress to the High-Level Committee for review.
