ORDER:
Government have decided to raise the upper age limit for Direct Recruitment from 33 years to 34 years and to delete permanently the upper age limit / ceiling of 45 years of age for direct recruitment to State & Subordinate Services for all categories of recruitments unless wherever specified in the special rules issued by the Departments concerned.

2. Accordingly, the following notification will be published in the AP. Gazette.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of Constitution of India and of all other powers hereunto enabling the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, hereby makes the following amendment to rule 12 of the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, issued in G.O.Ms.No.436, General Administration (Services-D) Department, dated the 15th October, 1996 and as subsequently amended from time to time.

Amendments
In the said rules, in rule 12, in sub-rule (1),-

(i) in sub-clause (v) of clause (a) for the expression. "33 years of age", the expression "34 years of age" shall be substituted;

 

(ii) in sub-clause (i) of clause (b ),-


(a) the first and second provisos shall be omitted;

 

(b) in the third proviso, the word "also" and the expression "subject to condition that it does not exceed 45 years" shall be omitted.
