ORDER:

In the reference 3^rd read above, Government have constituted a Group of Ministers to suggest the methodology to be adopted for recruitment of Village Revenue Officers. Accordingly, in the reference 4th read above, the Group of Ministers has recommended to raise the minimum educational qualification for appointment to the post of Village Revenue Officers from Secondary School Certificate (10th class) Examination to Intermediate Examination keeping in view the requirements of present duties being discharged by them.

2. The Government, after careful examination, hereby accept the recommendation of the Group of Ministers. Accordingly, the following notification shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated:15.11.2011.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Village Revenue Officers Service Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.39, Revenue (VA) Department, dated 11.01.2008 and published in part-I Extraordinary of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated 11.03.2008, as amended from time to time.

AMENDMENT

In rule 4 of the said rules, for the words "Secondary School Certificate (10^th Class) Examination" the words "Intermediate Public Examination conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Intermediate Examination or its equivalent examination" shall be substituted.
