In
the reference first cited instructions have been issued prescribing a schedule
to different categories of employees to surrender Earned Leave during financial
Year 1999-2000.
2. In the references
2nd and 3rd cited, it has been brought to the notice of the
Government that some of the employees who are having Earned Leave of 225 days
to 239 days as on 30-6-1999 are likely to forego up to 14 days of Earned Leave
after giving advance credit on 1-7-1999 due to the instructions issued in the Memo
1st cited. They have requested that those employees who have a
balance of 226 days to 239 days of Earned Leave as on 30-6- 1999 may be
permitted to surrender Earned Leave without lapse of any day of the Earned
Leave to be credited on 1-7-1999 as per Memo. 1st cited.
3. After careful
consideration, Government hereby permits those employees who have a balance of
more than 225 days of Earned Leave on 30th June, 1999 to surrender Earned Leave
without waiting for their tum as per the orders issued in the Memo first
cited.
4. The Departments
of Secretariat / Heads of Department are requested to keep these instructions
in view, while sanctioning encashment of Earned Leave during 1999-2000.
5. All Treasury
Officers/Local Fund Audit Authorities/Pay & Accounts Officer, Hyderabad and
Deputy Financial Adviser, Projects/Directors of Accounts of Major Projects are
requested to follow these instructions scrupulously while dealing with the
bills, if any, for encashment of leave during the financial year
1999-2000.
