Sub: Public Services - Payment of Compensatory Allowances to the Government Servants under suspension - Certain Clarification - Issued Regarding.

In the reference 2^nd cited, the Pay and Accounts Officer, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad has sought clarification on the admissibility of the following Allowances to the Government Servant under suspension

    (a) Compensatory Allowance.

    (b) Dearness Allowance.

With reference to para (a) above, necessary clarification was issued in the reference 1^st cited.

With reference to para (b) above, it is hereby clarified that as per proviso (iii) under F.R.53(l)(ii)(a), the rate of Dearness Allowance will be based on the increased or, as the case may be, the decreased amount of subsistence allowance admissible under clauses (i) and (ii) of the above said value.
